Pitch.

Shrek’s Adventure with Dream Works Entertainments was one of the most enjoyable projects I worked on. It was our first time working with such a large media company.

We were able to get really creative on this pitch and it was our fist site to get a VIP product which included more than just a photo book.

Winning this project took a lot of time and huge team effort to create products and theming before we had access to their brand elements.

Collaboration.

The creative process with the Merlin Entertainments group was exciting and a great learning tool for the challenges you face working with such a huge brand with many levels of contribution and authority.

After coming up with the initial concept of Shrek’s travel journal we were able to work with Merlin and the Dreamwork’s team to create a fun, exiting and memorable products to entertain the guests after their visit.

Build.

This fun project came with a new set of challenges for my team. Shrek’s adventure was based in County Hall, a protected building, meaning we could not permanently attach or alter any part of the building.

We worked closely with the Merlin build team and the building managers to create spaces that abided by the strict regulations. We had to disguise the old government 1909 building and create fun, functional and themed interactive photo spaces.

Our multiple capture areas, with a fast production process and sales operation supported a great front line team to get an average spend per guest 45% above their target in the first year.
